3 Beauty Tips: Eyes, Lips, Nails

Hey, Glitterbugs! Today I'm going to be giving you 3 beauty tips that are very useful when it comes to doing makeup. This post is mainly about your eyes, lips, and nails. Let's get started!

                                                                                    Beauty Tip #1
After finishing a manicure, you should always apply a clear coat of nail polish to your nails. This will give your nails a pleasant shine and allow the color to last for a week.

Beauty Tip #2
To get flashy lashes, place the mascara brush at the root of your eyelashes and slowly make your way to the tips. While doing this, you want to wiggle the brush a tad bit to catch every lash.
Beauty Tips #3
Sometimes making your lipstick last can be hard, but with this tip you will forever have long lasting
lipstick. First, apply the lipstick of your choice. Then, fold a tissue in half and place it in between your lips and press down. After, take an eyeshadow brush with powder on it and wipe it across your lips. Next, apply another layer of lipstick with a lip brush. This helps with detail and gives a precise look. Finally, repeat steps 2-4 and your lips will look great throughout the day.
That's it for today! Leave a comment below or email me at cutiefruity429@gmail.com telling me how these beauty tips worked for you or other beauty tips of your own. Also, leave some suggestions on what my next blog post should be about!!! Bye.

DIY:How To Do Your Nails Like A Professional

Hey Glitterbugs! I'm sorry this post is late, I've been so busy. I still wanted to make a post for Mani Monday anyway. Today's post is how to achieve a professional manicure look at home. Don't worry about not being a professional nail technician or the mistakes. I know I'm not a nail technician and sometimes my nails look better when I do it myself than when a professional does it! LOL, Truth!!!! Let's get started!

Here is a picture of how you should polish your nails
Numbers go from left to right.
1. Start off with a clean nail, make sure the surface is nail polish and oil free.

2. Apply your base coat or ridge filler. This prevents staining and chipping. Let it dry.

3. Place a drop of polish at the center of the nail, a bit above the cuticle.

4. Carefully push the drop towards the cuticle, leaving just a small gap.

5. Now move your brush upwards making a straight line till the end of the nail.

6. Go back to the base of the nail and swipe the polish along the curve of the nail.

7. Keep dragging the polish until the whole side of the nail is covered.

8. Repeat step 6, but do this on the other side of the nail.

9. Repeat step 7, but do this on the other side of the nail.

10. If necessary apply a 2nd or 3rd coat. Finish with a (quick drying) top coat.

It's okay if you mess up. Just take an old eyeliner brush, as shown below, and dip it into the nail polish remover. Then, gently rub the brush around your cuticle to remove your mistake.

Practice makes perfect! So keep trying and in no time you will be doing your nails like a pro. See you next week for Mani Monday! Stay Tuned. Bye!!!!

Mani Monday:Nail Trends of 2013

If your like me, you love having your nails done! Throughout this year, I have seen many nail trends amongst females. In this post, I will be sharing with you all 7 nail trends of 2013. There are so many, that it is hard to keep up with. So leave a comment and tell me which one is your favorite and which you have had done to your nails.

1. Stiletto Nails
This nail trend had to be first, because most of the females I have seen have had this nail design. Many ladies wear this nail design with some jewels or charms. Some people refer to this type of nail as " The Cat Claws" but they are really called "The Stiletto Nails".

2. Ombre Nails
This is one of my all time favorite nail trends of 2013. The ombre pattern has been on clothes, shoes, cakes, cupcakes, furniture, and especially nails. This nail trend is very cool and looks great with light nail polish colors. I have seen plenty of d.i.y. projects on this nail trend and I might just do one for an upcoming Mani Monday.

3. Matte Nails
I love love love this nail trend because it is so stylish! It looks so classy to me and has an awesome look to it. There have been plenty of runway models rocking this nail trend and it goes well with blazers. Love It!!!!

4. Animal Print Nails
Now this nail trend has been out for a while, but has really been a common nail pattern of 2013. This pattern goes well with any outfit because many clothes today, especially at Forever 21, have had this pattern on clothes such as leggings and graphic t-shirts. Also, a lot of people are putting this nail design on their stiletto nails.

5. Glitter Nails
Glitter nails are an awesome nail trend! They are very flashy and can attract lots of compliments. I've gotten lots of compliments at school and on the street while wearing this nail trend. The only negative thing about this nail trend is that it can be a struggle to remove. It takes some extra hard rubbing to remove!

6. Cross Nails
I have seen this nail trend everywhere! Forever 21 has this pattern on a lot of their clothes. This pattern has been on leggings, shoes. rings, t-shirts and now nails. It looks great with the classic solid colors, black and white.

7. Caviar Nails
I think this nail trend is so cool. I have seen it on my favorite show, L.A. Hair, styled by Naja.
She has created some great designs using the caviar nail accessory, especially when she did Fantasia's nails. They looked so great!

Thank you for reading this post! I am so excited about "Mani Monday"and look forward to posting nail design d.i.y.'s for the upcoming Mani Monday's!!! Don't forget to leave comment and tell me which nail trend is your favorite and which one you have had done to your nails. Stay Tuned!!!

A Lemon's Hidden Powers

Hey Glitterbugs! Have you ever had lemons just sitting around in your house? Well this post is going to tell you just what you can do with those lemons. I am going to be sharing with you all 5 things that you can do with lemons.

1. LIGHTEN YOUR HAIR
Lemons have an awesome ability to lighten one's hair. This is a good way to lighten your hair because it is natural and doesn't have any harsh chemicals in it that can potentially harm your locks. Simply grab a section of hair that you want and squeeze the lemon over it. Then sit outside in the sun for 1 and half hours or until your hair is at your desired highlight color!

2. LIGHTEN YOUR DARK SPOTS/ACNE
At a certain age many people can get bad cases of acne. One natural way to rid yourself of this acne is to rub lemon juice on your acne and let it sit for 20 minutes a day, then rinse it off. Be sure to stay away from the sun for a few hours while doing this! To lighten dark spots, you should rub the lemon juice on the dark area and let it sit for 15 minutes. Simply rinse it off after. You should keep doing this until you see your desired results.

3. MAINTAIN GREAT HEALTH
Lemons provide great health benefits. You can loose weight by putting lemons in your water daily. Also, lemons help balance your Ph level. It is also high in vitamin c which is known to fight infections.

4. HELP SOOTHE TOOTHE ACHES AND STOP BAD BREATHE
When lemon juice is applied to the gums of your mouth, it can stop bleeding or bad breathe. Also, when applied to the sore area in your mouth it can soothe the aching feeling.

5. SOOTHE SUN BURNS AND STINGS
When a lemon is rubbed over the sun burned skin it can immediately reduce the pain. Also, a lemon can soothe a bee sting! Ouch!!!
